BTLC State Enterprise takes part in the meeting of the CCTT international association
On September 19–20, the XXVIII Plenary Session of the International Coordinating Council on Trans-Siberian Transportation (CCTT) is held.
Authorized representatives of ministries and departments, railway, shipping companies of the CIS, Baltic countries, Europe and Asia, seaports and organizations involved in rail and sea transportation are invited to the talks. The meeting is attended by over 250 delegates from 30 countries, as well as such international transport organizations as the United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE), United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (UNESCAP), the Organization for Cooperation between Railways (OSJD), the International Union of Railways (UIC), the International Rail Transport Committee (CIT), the International Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations (FIATA).
The session is going to cover the issues of freight transportation and the prospects for the development of the Trans-Siberian transport corridor, as well as measures to improve the efficiency of container transportation in the competitive global environment.
Decisions to be taken during the regular XXVIII Plenary Session of the CCTT will determine the CCTT’s objectives for the next year in terms of the improvement of the Trans-Siberian route competitiveness and the development of information technologies in the transport sector.
For reference: Today, the Belarusian Railway is involved in the Asia-Europe-Asia transportations. They are carried out along the main Eurasian corridors with the use of the Trans-Siberian Railway: through Zabaikalsk and Mongolia, as well as along the Trans-Asian Route through Dostyk and Altynkol, transiting through Kazakhstan.
