The dispatch of the first export container block-train on the Goryn - Tuanjetsun (Chongqing) route
On November 5, 2019, the first export container train was dispatched from Goryn station (Brest region) to Tuanjetsun station (Chongqing, People's Republic of China). That train dispatch was organized by the BTLC State Enterprise and the Chinese company Chongqing Valosha Trading Co., Ltd.
This train consists of 46 40-foot containers with a cargo of timber produced by Stolindrev LLC, and is headed from the Republic of Belarus to the PRC. The travel time from the departure station to the destination will be 12-14 days, whereas the delivery of goods in this direction by sea would be 40 days.
China is one of the most important trade and economic partners of the Republic of Belarus. Today, Chongqing accounts for about 20% of all rail traffic between China and Europe, and the city itself not only is one of the key points in the framework of the One Belt One Road initiative, but also one of the important trade points in the south western part of China.
The BTLC State Enterprise actively develops freight transportation in container block-trains in the China-Belarus-China rail link, provides freight forwarding services at the level of international standards with the possibility of providing rolling stock and information service.
Coordination of a new route for organized container block-trains within the framework of Belarus – China rail transportation will contribute to the strengthening of trade and economic cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and the People’s Republic of China.
