"Viking" continues to develop

Extension of the route of container train "Viking" to Turkey after that Bulgaria and Romania has joined the project, opens up great opportunities for increasing the transit potential of Belarus.

Within the last conference devoted to the tenth anniversary of container train "Viking" that took place in Vilnuis, Romania has signed an agreement of joining to the project. It will give the possibility to extend the train route to Turkey through Romania and Bulgaria bypassing the Black Sea.

In the conference also took part representatives of the railways of Sweden, who made a proposal on the transportation of components for the production of cars by train "Viking".

As of today, in the project are also interested Georgia and Azerbaijan.

The project members continue involving new participants.

On March 28 in Istanbul will take place an international conference, where the project of container train "Viking" will be presented and the possibilities of laying its route through the ports of Turkey will be assessed.

At the upcoming conference is planned to sign a series of agreements on cooperation.
