About $ 75 million will be invested in the project "Quarantine pier" (the creation of a deep alluvial container terminal at the port of Odessa) by the German partner in the project - the company "HPA-Ukraine", which operates the main container terminal port.
This information was disclosed by the Vice-Prime Minister of Ukraine Borys Kolesnikov, the head of Mininfrastruktury during his visit to the port of Odessa on November 24.
The stevedore "GPK-Ukraine" is a subsidiary of Hamburg Port Consulting GmbH (Germany), that is the part of the concern LHHLA (one of the leading port and logistics operators in Europe).
"I can say that next year we will invest 600 million UAH (about $ 75 million) to the project. Approximately the same sum will put our German partners,"- said the Minister, commenting on the realization of the project.
The project "Quarantine mole", a strategic program of development of the Odessa port provides for capacity expansion of "CPC-Ukraine" to 1.3 million TEU (full development) by creating an area for precoat 19 hectares of container terminal capacity of over 0.6 million TEU . The total cost of the project "Quarantine say" is estimated at $ 0.5 billion by the participants. The distribution of investments between the foreign investor and the port, according to the contract will be 50:50.
